Chevrolet introduced its pint-sized subcompact SUV the Trax back in 2015. Upon its release, Chevrolet sold an estimated 400,000 Trax SUVs in more than 73 global markets. In the US, the vehicles popularity was undeniable. Prompted by the success of the 2015 model, Chevrolet is set to release the 2017 model. The 2017 Chevrolet Trax will mark a significant improvement over its predecessor in terms of features and overall exterior design. Thus, there is a lot that consumers can expect from the 2017 model. Whether the vehicle has what it takes to be a top contender in the competitive subcompact segment remains to be seen.
2017 Chevrolet Trax – Exterior Body Changes and Interior Cabin Design
As already stated, the 2017 Chevrolet Trax exterior design differs greatly from that of its predecessor. The front grille is new and is similar to that found on other new Chevy models such as the Spark, Sonic, and Volt. The rear of the vehicle has also undergone some upgrades with Chevrolet opting for dual tail lamps and LED lighting. The new Trax gets 18-inch alloy wheels. The general dimensions of this vehicle are 175 inches in length, 70 inches in width and 65 inches in height. The 2017 Chevrolet Trax comes in three body variants, LS, LT and premier trim levels.

Another great addition to the vehicle’s interior is the 7.0-inch infotainment My link touch display. The display is compatible with Android Auto, Apple Carplay. Also, it has a knob for regulating volume. The rear seat can accommodate two passengers comfortably and can be folded to increase the boots space from 19 cubic feet to 48 cubic feet. Despite its small size the 2017 Trax offers plenty of legroom and headroom for passengers.

The new model comes with the same six-speed automatic transmission of the 2016 model. The 2017 Trax accelerates from 0 to 60 MPH in a leisurely 9.4 seconds.
