The new 2018 Audi Q5 is coming and is going to be big. Audi, one of the leading car manufacturers has continued to wow the industry with some of the finest road machines. The new Audi Q5 coming in as a 12018 model. We have no doubt in our minds that it is going to be revolutionary.

2018 Audi Q5 – Exterior and Interior Design

The overall presentation of the current model having had the industry talking, as expected, we are not going to see a full makeover. The designers would want to keep the Q5 is iconic look for it is traditional and yet timeless all at the same time. Based on photos we have managed to see, the 2018 Audi Q5 is going adopt a sort of more powerful body lines that we see in A4. When we take a closer look at the front, you will realize that the overall size has been slightly increased, but the width and height have remained untouched. The grille also gets the same treatment just like any other Audi car. On the rear, you will see that the tailgate has not be changed, but thanks to the introduction of new LED lightings, the rear look more sophisticated and modern as well.

Interior:

When we slide into the inside; there is a lot that is going on. The dashboard is now set lower and the roof pillar has been made much thinner. The best part, the length of the car having been increased that means you will get more legroom both in the front and rear. It does not even stop there; it is said that leather upholstered seat will remain standards in all trims. Plus, for additional comfort and most importantly entertainment, we are looking at heated seats, Bang and Olufsen audio system, air conditioned front seats among other amazing things.

Under the hood will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that is said to produce a power output of 252 hp and 273 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, unlike what we saw in the previous generation, the upcoming Audi Q5 2018 works with a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox and not the usual torque converter automatic transmission. This new feature will offer unbelievably quick shift and impeccable manual shift function. When it comes to fuel economy, if the figures we have are anything to go by, we can say the upcoming 2018 Audi Q5 is pretty good when it comes to fuel economy. Thanks to its low weight and the inclusion of a much updated Quattro system, we are talking about 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway.

2018 Audi Q5 – Release Date and Price

Considering the fact that we still have a number of months before we finally see the new 2018 Audi Q5 on our roads, Audi has not revealed anything about the actual price and release date yet. However, the current model base model selling at around $41,900 to $45,000, the price of the upcoming 2018 model could be slightly raised. We can expect the 2018 Q5 to sit in mid $50,000 range for the design hasn’t changed that much. As for the release date, we could see a Spring 2017 release.
